It's spring and time for spring cleaning including the exterior of your home, roof and gutters. Please leave this to the experts because every time you get on a ladder you increase the chance of injury should you fall while cleaning the roof or gutters.
While we clean the roof we inspect for signs of wear and possible leaks or issues that may turn into problems if not addressed. We clean all the debris from roof valleys and then we clean the gutters, bag the leaves and pine needles and leave by the curb for the trash men. We rake any leaves in the flower beds and blow all side walks and driveways.
Our crews are getting rave reviews for the thoughtfulness and quality service from homeowners taking advantage of this service. I don't think you can find a better price than $75 anywhere in the city.
Let's be clean out there and a clean roof is a happy roof!

Call Cypresswood Construction and Roofing and let us do it for you!
I have two friends that fell off their ladders while trying to clean their own gutters and one destroyed both ankles and has trouble walking to this day. I don't' know about you but I don't bounce like I did when I was a young man. Why don't you let my crew of roofing professionals clean your roof and gutters.
If you have a problem with pine needles or leaves collecting on your roof or in your gutters, let us safely and professionally remove, bag and clean up afterwards so that you don't have to. We can put you on a regularly scheduled maintenance program and not only clean your roof, but visually inspect the roof and gutter system for any developing problems that can then be addressed before they become big issues.
You can choose the number of times you want us clean each year and we will follow up with an analysis of the roof/gutter system and photos of any areas that we think should be addressed to maintain the integrity of the roof/gutter system.

We didn't see this one coming. Last year my sources, which shall remain a closely guarded secret, gave me the date of the spring hail storms to within ten days. He said the 29th of April and the hail hit on the 19th. Not bad, but even he didn't see the storm that hit January the 8th.
Our lesson is that you never know exactly when these storms are going to rain giant balls of ice down on you homes and vehicles so we need to be prepared just in case they do. Since you can't cover your home or always have your cars in the garage your next best action is to make sure your homeowners and automobile insurance is sufficient to repair or replace damaged property.
All insurance companies are not the same!!! Some perform better than others when the you know what hits the fan. The only insurance that's any good is the one that pays your claim when you need it.
Check your deductible, many insurance companies have been increasing deductibles from 1% to 2%, doesn't sound like much but on a $250K home you are almost to the point of self insuring your roof. Double check your Tropical Storm deductible, my company tried to increase mine to 5% (definitely self insuring at that rate). It's easy to let the annual changes to your insurance policy slip through the cracks and it's quite a surprise when you pull out your policy after a storm and realize that you stand to receive little or nothing for your loss. Talk about an unexpected hail storm - Bet you didn't see that coming!

April Showers Bring More Than Rain
We were predicting the first hail storm of the season to hit on April 28th, only missed it by nine days. The storm was a category 4 with 5 being the highest with hail as large as 2.5 inches so the possibility of significant damage is possible.
It is important to assess any damage quickly and contact your insurance company as soon as possible to avoid long wait times for an adjuster and a roof replacement should it be warranted. Cypresswood Roofing will provide a free damage assessment of your property and walk you through the insurance claim process. You can find the seven steps for an insurance claim located in this section.

The 7 steps you should follow:
Call Cypresswood Roofing for a FREE NO OBLIGATION wind and hail damage inspection at (832) 808-1815. Cypresswood Roofing will perform a thorough on-site inspection and discuss the damage with you.
Armed with this information, you call your insurance company and turn in your claim. You are responsible for paying for your deductible. Many roofing sale people will propose to cover or parcially cover your deductable. This is insurance fraud and you can be held liable.
Your insurance company will send out an adjuster. Your Cypresswood Roofing representative can join you and the adjuster at your home to review all damage and make sure you get all your damage included in the claim.
Once approved, your insurance company will provide you with a statement and a first check to cover material and labor.
Once you have the check, Cypresswood Roofing will provide you a Scope of Work (SOW) which outlines material, work to be done and the price of your new roofing system. Once you have approved the SOW, Cypresswood Roofing will review color choices, upgrades and guarantees options with you and set a construction date.
Cypresswood Roofing notifies you when all work is completed and provides you with the necessary paperwork so that the remaining check can be released. Upon the receipt of the final check from you will make the final payment to Cypresswood Roofing.
Enjoy your new roof.
